A Chinese Export Porcelain Famille Rose Octagonal Plate Bearing The Crest Of Gordon Of Invergordon
Circa 1745
the central well depicting a Chinese lady with two attendants, the raised rim with four Chinese landscape panels, the top panel inscribed with motto, "Corde Manuque," the bottom panel bearing the arms of Gordon quartering Forbes.
Height 1 5/8 x diameter 9 1/4 inches.
Condition
Overall with some very minor wear to the gilding and enamels. A few minute chips to the underside of the rim, not readily visible. Some scattered kiln speckling. A really lovely example, presents very well.
